A studio that reads labels for a living.
Founded in 2019 on one idea: whatever's on your skin, someone at Botanika should be able to tell you exactly what it is and why it's there.
Started by an aesthetician, not a brand.
Botanika was founded by Priya Naik, a clinical aesthetician who spent six years formulating treatment plans at a Harley Street skin clinic before opening a studio of her own in Walthamstow — one where the ingredient list mattered more than the shelf presentation.
She still does every first consultation herself. Everyone else on the team trains under her for a full year of shadowed treatments before they see a client alone.
Botanika stays small on purpose — one studio, one team, treatments booked a maximum of six weeks out so the plan a client leaves with is still relevant by the time they're back.
Four things that don't change per client.
Ingredients named, not hidden
Every active on every treatment page, in plain language — not buried in a product insert you'd need to ask for.
Patch test, every first visit
No exceptions, no "you'll probably be fine." We've turned away same-day peels over this and we'll do it again.
No treatment upsell mid-session
What you booked is what happens. If something else would genuinely help, it goes on next visit's plan — not today's bill.
One studio, no franchise plans
Priya still runs every consultation. Staying small is how that stays true.
